Havertz pen was very poor.

Germany losing in a shoot out for the first time since 1945.

🤣 Pedro you need to be stopped. Linking Onlyfans subscription decline to GDP decline wasn't the economic correlation I was looking for today! That's a proper zing by the way 😂

Kepa is looking for a team he can start for. We're going after Illan Meslier.

The year is 2020. The French goalkeeper was 20yo and starting for Leeds in the PL, with unreal potential, winning awards and receiving plaudits. Fast forward 6 years, he's coming of a season, still at Leeds, in which he recorded a total of 0 minutes in all competitions, couldn't even make the squad and managed to sit on the bench just 5 times.

His contract ended today and he's officially, a free agent. Hence the Arsenal interest.

The interesting part - he started 39 games in a row in 24/25 when Leeds won Championship. Then for game 40 and until the end of the season (7 games straight), he was benched due to many costly mistakes. From what I'm reading, he was benched due to regression and for purely footballing reasons.

Not only did his bench option took his place, it got to the point where Daniel Farke targeted a GK in the summer of 2025 and Meslier became THIRD choice for Leeds with virtually 0 minutes all season.

Kepa was a disastrous signing from a football perspective and pretty much single-handedly eliminated us from both domestic league cups and more or less had a clanger in each game he played. This guy is worse.

Though relative to our past back up keeper signings, Kepa is somewhat serviceable. What’s going on with our youth keepers? No one good?

If we'd have to pay silly money to buy, better be equally gusto in negotiating sales in these crazy markets...

Historically, we lag so far behind our rivals in getting good money for exiting players, whatever the reasons, and it's about time to mitigate the shortfall...
