My missus laughed when watching the replay of their goal as did I. But I am not laughing this morning - fuck spurs.

I don't have your blind faith in Arteta and wouldn't swap our season for theirs but they only need to get the next managerial appointment right.

It's a dark day today and I hope to never see the guy from Bournemouth rock up at the lane as manager. That for me would be the start of nightmares and shoutey spurs fans

As for their squad well they are still a bit shit but many professional athletes never make a final let alone win but achieving a trophy and getting that monkey of your back is the foundation on which success is built.

How many in our team have won a trophy, any trophy. Outside of rice and havertz, martinelli is the only other one I think.

But I am happy to eat humble pie on this if the team does what you predict but watching Tets the last two years I don't think he can change his approach.

Watching the stale turgid football this season and consistently told he will get us to the promised land is like having a cat and waiting for it to bark.

I know what my eyes see and no XG stat will ever change that. It's do or die for tets next season.

Yer- remove the fact that its the spuds- what team is it better for us to have won?

- United loss starves them of £100m for another season. The club with the biggest commercial firepower is going to continue to suffer

- A Spurs win possibly keeps their manager in charge for another season, and streches their squad next season. Which is likely to end badly by Christmas

The opposite would also be true- a united win gives them finance to rebuild and compete in the transfer market; it brings forward the inevitable for the Ange and the possibility that they get someone in who knows what they are doing

Divorced from the reality of the rivarly- its actually the result that serves us best, even if it sticks in the throat
