Mikel Arteta looked kind of hungover in his prematch presser, but the message was clear: we have to make sure we seal the deal in the league, especially with a Newcastle side hot on our heels after drilling Crystal Palace 5-0.

You have to be really clear when you talk about Ipswich: they’re not very good. They are really bad. It’s painful to see a team drop £150m in transfer fees and get absolutely nothing in return. They have a very good coach in Kieran McKenna, but that swanky football he was playing in the Championship was never going to translate into the Premier League.

As a side note, I do wonder if he’ll be approached by Chelsea and Spurs after this season now he’s not the young coach rising he was last summer? A shame how a relegation can kill you, despite the outcome being out of your control.
