Good Work

Our fourth and fifth goals were just pure gems.

I keep reminding everyone of how great TP5 has been for us and he capped off a great match with a well timed interception and the awareness to release Martinelli to start the counter attack that saw Havertz finish … great goal by him but his miss in the first half is simply … ahh never mind.

And then there was Nwaneri. What a player.

Sorry there’s no reason for either Trossard or Martinelli starting ahead of hun.

Absolutely none

Overplaying, if he started three games in the space of a week and got injured…( Tom’s probably asleep so I’ll be the contrarian!)

What a win. What a performance. Also leaves a bad taste regarding the first leg which we should have also won given how shit this current city side is.

Confidence is everything. We have it now. Just wish sth shattering happens to / at Pool which shakes theirs.

Also can’t help but think about the what ifs. What if the referees hadn’t done us so bad in those 4 games. What if Tets had ended the Partey at RB experiment. What if we had actually made even one quality signing for our front line.

We’ve had fierce battles with Klopp’s Liverpool over the years, but one thing was always clear—their players & fans showed class in the fight.

Arsenal? Different story. We cannot let these bottlers win the title. Give all 3 points to LFC at the Etihad!

So rattled! Bro begs his team to lose and gift the league to Liverpool. Embarrassing.

Gary Neville is such a little weasel

During the game he kept complaining that Arsenal players were cocky around Haaland. Didn’t hear him complaining when the reverse was true

Then near the end he said he wouldn’t blame Haaland for ‘giving him (Gabriel) something’. I’m sorry how is that acceptable?

This is the link to the main city fan forum.

Used to wind them up a lot back in the day …

But they are especially fuming about today LMAO

What happened to all the Arteta Out Fan girls?

Hiding in the tunnels somewhere?

The most unnecessary comment of the whole thread. We just won a washed city 5_1. We didn't win the league. We are still 6 points behind Liverpool who still seem uncatchable. Enjoy the fucking win

Oh I see.

So yer one of them, eh?

Enjoy yer time with the rest of the tunnel dwellers. Hope it’s not too dark and smelly down there

This the reason Haaland said "stay humble". He just directed it to the wrong person. Arteta fans are so bad

Lol don’t even know why you’re responding except for a guilty conscience … I have no clue on where you’ stand on Arteta but clearly you’ve been stung. Don’t run your mouth if you cant accept the charges when the words you say come due … take your own advice … stay humble and be quiet in the future

Listen child you seem to have some deep seated emotional issues.

Honestly you need some professional help.

Did anyone mention you personally?

Are you part of the Arteta Out Cheerleading Squad? I don’t know, nor do I care.

But from your bitchy responses you’re quite triggered.

Take Erling’s advice: “stay humble” and then shut up!

In the future … if you can’t handle being held accountable for the rubbish you spew … then keep your thoughts to yourself.

Wasn’t as if you were addressed personally but thanks for exposing yourself

It’s funny how all the muppets who call us Set Piece FC are suddenly quiet given that we dropped Five goals on the defending champs but none from a set piece.

Guns, MLS not a left back I heard?

he was a deep lying midfielder in the Academy .In the Youth Cup semi final v

Man City he sent the most

incredible long ball through to Nwaneri ( I think) to score. He wasn’t an out and out DM but very much in the Partey mould. If we weren’t signing Zubimendi I would have thought we would be seeing him as Partey’s successor.

As it is, LB has long been a problem position as we kept signing crocks and he arguably does the inverted role better than Zinny now. Cala is really a CB so maybe therefore that is his new real role

thats not where he started out, but he is so talented he can play anywhere mate

understood but today was an anomaly TBH. 5 open play goals against City??

If we can show this now, then why not all the time. I dont expect 5, but hey at least a couple per g

Chief don’t buy the media narrative of SETPIECE FC that they use to fill reporters notebooks. We may have scored the most goals from set plays but it doesn’t discount the fact that last season we led the league in scoring and no one commented about over reliance on set plays.

The media looks for every angle to attack the Gunners. This ain’t La Liga. Goals are hard to come by in the EPL and you get em however u can my friend

If the zubi rumours are true as we are led to believe I can see why we would not keep partey, his wage demands would be high considering the offers he would get as a free agent.

I would love us to give him a 1-2 year deal to give MLS a chance to mature ( he is bloody good already ) plus who better to learn from than the man you are gonna replace, but like I say if zubi is coming in or won't happen

Problem Serge is that Zubimendi does not have the legs to be as dynamic as Rice and #5. He is another Jorginho. Hope the club steers away from that type of CM

Expand full comment

Zubimendi actually carries the ball forward on occasions, he's probably like party in terms of ball carrying but not Rice's level

How are others 'stopped from commenting' 🤔 Anyway, let's see if tomorrow brings enforcements and great that the players have really pulled it out the bag tonight - are you watching Chido and Ayden??

Nwaneri gives Arjen Robben vibes with that left foot. Everyone on the pitch and in the stands knows what he wants to do but you can't stop it. Seen I think 3 of those curlers this season
