Quite staggering to watch what is happening at Nottingham Forest. Edu moved there for a chonky pay rise and a ‘global’ role and within 6 weeks of being on the job, he had to bin Nuno, and put his name to hiring Big Ange.
I’m not sure I’ve seen an own goal this egregious since the Mavs moved Luka to LA. What I’m really struggling for here is a rationale for the hire of Ange? He plays wide-open football, he took Spurs to 17th, his skin is paper-thin, and he doesn’t have any of the attributes needed to keep a club like Forest in contention. He hasn’t won a game in 6. He has the worst record of any Forest manager.
Edu, who left because he felt shackled by a power structure that didn’t favor his worst instincts at Arsenal, has found out that he’s just a very expensive assistant under an owner who likes to interfere. Incredible own goals that absolutely everyone saw coming.
