SESKO THE CHOSEN ONE - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

ARSENAL MAKE FIRST STRIKER MOVE AND IT'S A GOOD ONE

Arsenal’s transfer moves began to take shape yesterday with a couple of major snippets of news relating to our future number 6 and the big one… the decision on who would be our striker for the next 5 years.

Let’s start with the striker. If Fabrizio is to be believed, Arsenal have put their chips on Benjamin Sesko. The story is “negotiations have opened” — which is far from DONE DEAL — but it’s a good start. My fears, as I’ve penned here relentlessly, were that we’d move away from the profile of player that has served us well in the name of WIN NOW, and sign a striker that carried the same risks as the Slovenian.
