So done with Arteta and his negative style, plus no winning mentality. We have no players that he manage to improve.

Did the club position improved since his hire? Yes, but give any manager 6 years, full support and a billion in funding, we would have a few cups and titles. Arteta fumbles every April and it's a trend. We are a laughing stock - even worse than Spurs.

It's to the point I'll take Wenger in now so that we can at least enjoy the game. I've never seen such negative football and even by sheer luck we win the PL, this will be the worse champions like many has said before.

Winning the league matters. It really does. If we limp over the line, I will be very happy and celebrate it.

But, the bigger point for me is that Arteta is a chicken when it comes to crunch time. Getting this one over the line won't mean we go on to better things. I think we need to get rid of him regardless of the result now.

It doesn't matter that he has built a team that can be consistent. If you are consistently 2nd, you are still a loser. The reality is underlying stats don't matter when you are in year 7 and you have 1 FA cup to show for it.

Not only that, we haven't even enjoyed the football all season. I have no faith he can go to the Etihad and get a result when we look like afraid little boys at home to Bournemouth.

Spoke with a retired coach (basketball ) about Arsenal's recent predicaments. Though he doesn't watch much football, he highlights it's critical to keeping player "conditioning" spot on to keep winning , and it's not just physical& mental, but also "predatory instincts". Went on to say the team must share the same[level of] killer instinct, like in a battle, or you don't get results at elite level.

Got a chill 'cos I didn't see killer instincts when we played recently. In here we talk about desire, mental strength, taking shots, converting chances/ moments, urgency, etc. Clearly all boil down to killer instincts ...we look lame/ aimless lately.

Dissenter talks about 'momentum', I suppose that's part/result of right conditioning . Our players don't seem to have it, other than processes etched in their mind! Question is, can they condition (instil killer instincts) and unshackle the team in such a short time ? Without saying, we'd all hope for the best 🤞

A win today and getting smashed by City is more likely - if somehow we get a draw against City then there's a chance. Big IF!

"We’ve gone from nobodies to one of the most feared teams in Europe. No one likes playing us. "

That must be a joke. Everyone love playing againsts us now with the cowardly tactics by your manager.

Still shaidng Gykores, get a grip he's the best of what we got, not like his replacement had fared any better, one common denominator though

Yeah.. thought the rhetoric is all fans should get behind the players?

The one thing that pissed me off more than the perfomance against Bournemouth, not the four goal swing on our GD but the Manc' prick downing an Arsenal logo'd bottle which camera's miraculously found in a see of 60k bodies. The sky narrative makes me sick.

For fucks sake Arteta and the players, find a fucking way.

On a seperate note. Nice to Wilshere get a trophy with Luton. He's had the fans on his case there and they're just outside the playoffs and building some form at the right time.

See my previous. Yeah.if you didn’t know better you’d think Neville & sky slipped him a few Bob for that stunt.in a 50,000 crowd.very suspicious.arrogant b’ stards considering we are still top.as I said .hope the fat c** t is choking on it Sunday pm!

What you smoking Pete?

City were ruthless in the second half and are gaining momentum.

I hope we beat Sporting but it really was hard to swallow that performance against Bournemouth,it was gutless.

Lose at City(can't see any other result) then they play Burnley Away before we play again and in all probability we are then tied and The title aspirations are on a thread.

Positivepete's avatar

No Ronny.you can’t be a towel chucker & hanky waiver yet? Back against the wall.love it.

Bournemouth likes playing us

Positivepete's avatar

This is true.similar to West Ham recently at our gaff.shit happens.

Post looks good on paper but the way we have been playing, we are not winning either trophy. Ready to support the boys anyway, it is what it is.

Let's get Sporting out the way first.

City away, not sure how we will set up or who will play. I will take a draw right now.

It’s when all & sundry write us off that I love.Arsenals history is dotted with such matches.its when we’re favourites that’s the problem.its not in our DNA.

So come Sunday I want the entire media universe sticking the knife in with their forecasts.

Then let’s see if we have cajones …..

Watch our very own David Brent play Anfield 89 on the big screen while training for the City game, right before getting walloped

Who gave us the title of "best team in the world"?

Why invent titles that don't exist to boost our ego?? No wonder we're most hated by rival fans!

Nobody is killing themselves over nothing. Any sane fan will support the team through difficult times. But there has to be consequences if we fall short again. That's what we're saying.

PS. Havertz should not be anywhere close to our starting 11 for any serious game. Yes!! AND GYOK WHO YOU LIKE TO SLANDER IN PLACE OF THE INCOMPETENT GENERAL HAS THE BEST GOALSCORING RECORD OF ANY DEBUTANT FOR US IN THE PL ERA, ONLY BEHIND TITI AND ALEXIS!!! BEAT THAT!!

‘Who gave us the title of "best team in the world"?’

A few managers here and there, but mostly Pedro based on early league form and CL league phase standings, even if we did have the easiest draw of all big clubs in Europe.

The only problem with being the best in the world from September to January…… that title don’t land you trophies.

These come in May.

Imaginary titles to give credit to the saviour

I love you Pedro, I really needed this post. Until. The. Bitter. End.

Decomanus's avatar

We still have a decent chance for a Treble — Champions League, Premier League, & Spurs going down. COYG.

Guns of SF's avatar

Ok Pedro, this was your official rah rah post. The one before was the same too actually.

I hope we win against Sporting and get win against City. Although my gut tells me we win Sporting and get hammered at City.

The nightmare would be 2 losses this week. The morale would be gone. You would be on the sinking ship shitting your pants at that point.

We all want wins. I want to see us win these big games but the reality is we are not playing well at all. Mental and physical exhaustion.

Tom Wojtyga's avatar

‘You would be on the sinking ship shitting your pants at that point.’

No.

Pedro would stay on the sinking ship telling everyone else it’s really a submarine

Submarine is 👍... but leaky or not?

Man City closing the gap has resulted in the expected meltdown that makes it a bit hard to see the positives. However, I am also in a positive mood today and looking at the fact that comparing with the same stage last season, we have improved on some aspects: 4 more wins, scored 5 more, conceded 3 fewer, 7 more points...

Useroz's avatar

We bought these so called improvements with £200m+..

Low bar and false positives!

Mystic Leaves's avatar

Last season shouldn't be a barometer. We almost set the draws record. It was a very bad season. This season has been bad as well but we have a chance to finish with the PL. I'm just hoping that winning the PL won't paper over the cracks of what has already become an established pattern

Isaac's avatar

Do you get?? Setting terrible benchmarks that breed mediocrity is becoming out forte! I want to believe that we're not real with our standards and measurement. Imagine celebrating at the end of the season that spurs are relegated - such unbelievable glorification of mundaness
