Martinelli is the most isolated winger in world football with an ever rotating set of players inside and behind him. He holds the width so Saka can come inside, When he had stability around him, Xhaka and Zinchenko (whose job was to give him the ball) he had 15 non-penalty goals.

Of the squad, he has the most goals against Liverpool (6) and has scored winners against Man City and Real Madrid.....in Madrid.

He is the fastest player with ball at feet in the team and our main outlet to counterattack. All of this while tracking back like a border collie after a frisbee. That his sale has become a talking point shows the lack of appreciation and the reductive thinking from some sectors of the Arsenal support. Shame on them. We need to add good players not sell them.

We finished the season with 22 senior squad players. 2 moved on so far and 2 loanees returned leaving 18. " are permanently injured leaving 16 including Partey and Zinchenko. People need to wake the fuck up.

Is there any particular reason why nobody is questioning Arteta's failure to improve Martinelli as a player? Can't blame the lad's attitude or workmate. Was Arteta not hired first and foremost as a coach? How can we suggest he is 50mill worth of talent to sell but not capable of producing for us?
