I always forget: if I lock a post before the game, you can't comment. So here is a blog where you can comment and say really nice things about my writing and insights.
Team news is pretty rough. Saliba is out, we have no right backs, so we're rolling with Timber in the middle, Partey on the right, and a quite turgid midfield offering with Merino stepping in.
The forward line has a little more pace with Martinelli stepping in, but it still feels really weak, especially when you look at the total lack of options we have coming from the bench.
If we're going to win the Premier League this season, we're doing it the hard way. The unblessed way. Lady Luck has flipped us off after we cut her off on the Journey To Glory Highway.
But... isn't that... the Arsenal Way?
I believe it is. This afternoon is going to be brutal. Let's hope we beat Emery and the home fans show up HARD for the boys.
We'll be going LIVE after the game. Subscribe if you want to watch it live. It'll go out on Monday for everyone else.
ENJOY! x
Partey again at RB 🤦♂️
We have 1 win in 5 games where Partey starts at RB. What will stop this experiment?
Why can’t we play Kiwior at CB instead? All Arsenal community just forgot about his existence?
Partey at RB has never worked, surely there's some stats guy at the club who sees this info.
If he doesn't trust Kvior enough, why not go 3 at the back, also what's the point of a back up if you don't give him sufficient game time to build confidence. You can't always okay the same formation no matter the available players against every single team after 5 years in charge, it's disgraceful.
The league being over and except some divine intervention we win the champions league will make it 6 years without Arteta winning anything, we'll be another two seasons closer to Wenger's 10 year drought soon and we don't even have league or cup wins to look back on and hold onto.
Our midfield is filled with workmanlike players who take about a thousand touches or can barely turn on the ball, squad level wingers whom you feel certain mid table teams wouldn't have the patience to keep, about a thousand defenders signed, some very dodgy or non-existent in game management and a manager who has not signed a striker of note since he joined the club
All very tragic stuff
