Sad, very sad indeed. But, don't we think Arsenal planned to fail this season? A club ike Arsenal should be able to plan against the unexpected especailly in the areas they know very well they are short. Arsenal knew of their weakness in the forward line since last summer but the arrogantly ignored it and they couldn't work hard to get even a striker on loan last month.
If you fail to plan then you are planning to fail. No two ways about it.
Why didn't Mikel rotate Gabi when Ethan was in such fine form? To me it's clear he was not because Ethan himself suffered a muscle injury that forced him to be subbed, that doesn't seem that long ago.
What a welcome change from the shit show that is PGMOL, the Six Nations France v England. An excellent Georgian Ref that changes his decision when being told by his assistance that he is wrong. The Ref is miked up and everyone watching the game either in person or on TV hears the conversation between him and the captains or the TMO. The EPL should adopt that.
No players faking injuries or surrounding the Ref to sway his decision. The rugby Refs have the total respect of the players on the field.
Never mind the brilliant exciting test match versus dull, insipid cup matches.
Not based on stats I confess, but obvious that going up there and playing against a deep block to overturn a two goal deficit with a recent history of picking up injuries then it must have been a one-in -three chance that someone would cop one, and they did.The club must have feared that and had weeks to sign to try to offset. I am not a moaner ..just trying to make sense of some pretty weird decisions that I think will cost us a title or cup.
The article from the Bayern medical staff perfectly sums up pups disregard for players health and well being.
peP is a petulant brat, who has always had a multitude of resources at his disposal like a spoiled child.
He possesses a brilliant futbol mind and body, however, like a genius general, will sacrifice all his soldiers for victory and glory at the expense of his people.
This has been repeated many times throughout history and will again in the future.
peP is the ultimate checkbook manager, no matter how good he is, and this detracts from his greatness, as he will never prove to anyone, including himself, that he is not. His legacy will be forever tarnished by this reality in many peoples eyes.
Mikel, is not, nor will he ever be in the same conversation of greatness, but follows many of pePs philosophies.
He may win things with AFC, but at the current burn rate the house money is against him completing his journey without many casualties and defections.
One other aspect of this injury - we have had 4 hamstring injuries of different severity in December-January packed schedule.
Calling this "bad luck" is at this point simply not serious. This is a clear pattern indicating that players' fitness level is not being managed properly - whether from intensive training sessions, being overplayed or something else.
I sincerely hope that someone in the club whose job doesn't depend on Arteta will raise this question.
Pedro has written extensively about the causation of these soft tissue injuries
Pedro has also suspended deductive reasoning from the extensive writings he’s done, at least until Arteta is no longer manager of Arsenal. Now he just makes passing comments about Arteta’s methods.
You can bet he’s going to overtrain the few attackers he’s got left
The only way we come through this unscathed is by winning games early and then rotating the 5 players above attacking midfield.
One of MLS and Zinchenko will have to have CM cameos too. If Arteta can play Merino or Rice in that Odegaard position, there is no reason not too play them in there.
Kids also will have to have to participate in so games we are winning early.
In the era where elite players get their ACL done running in a straight line due to the massive overplaying, the last thing we need is arguing over how high on their leg a kick was executed from behind to stop them on a counter.
Pedro might you be having any idea about what caused Edus departure? or might it go against your narrative that the club and Arteta can do no wrong

Rugby is a gentlemans game, with straight foward rules. football is hooligans game especially the version played in England
MG42 Couldn't agree more

This is rugby where refs are impartial.
A HUGE lesson for football.
A lesson that won't be learnt because corruption and cheating is still accepted in football.
Not signing players because we are looking for qualidee, injuries everywhere, PGMOL against us, Edu fleeing. Its de ja vu.
This season has taught us that Guardiola cant coach Kovacic to do what the likes of Yaya or Iniesta can do in midfield

I agree habesha

Let's do that then, 'winning early'! Should have thought of that already!
It was all going so well. Posters asking others to mind their language, posters agreeing to change future hypocritical behaviour.
Just saw Orient's goal against City, worth watching and laughing!
Orient with a professional, taking one for the team hack from behind producing a yellow.
Weird both commentators suggesting it might’ve been a red had there been VAR.
Very much the same reaction to Mbappe getting hacked over the weekend also producing a yellow.
I thought everyone and their uncle agreed it should always be a yellow, so why any talk of a red.
Weird.
Just got back from the gym. Missed that.
A rule change needed.

A yellow for that is an insult to common sense.
Granted not many do get insulted.
As long as the rule is consistently applied, I haven't got a problem with changing the punishment although I'd prefer say a 20 min sin bin.
Holly shit, that’s some deletion carnage there from Pedro.
Did someone say Free Palestine or something ?
Love the fact Positive Pete approves of all forms of poster abuse except the one that directly relates to him somehow.
Also, great idea PP, extend Saliba and tell RM to keep their filthy hands off him.
Why didn’t I think of that?
