I'm surprised about what Ian Wright said regarding martinelli
He's one of the few ex-players who has access to the club
He's crossed a fine line with those comments because he can't be privy to all communications between club and player (player agents). To come out and castigate the club like that is wrong. If8 were Garlick, I won't forget the cheap points he tried to score there.
For Arsenal, it maybe they don't want to lose €45 million euros for a player they don't think is worthy of contract extension, one who is technically allowed to start speaking to foreign clubs in January.
Martinelli should have taken the hint and started packing his bags, everyone can see what Arteta wants from afar.
For those people who are drunk on Martinelli sentimentality
Are you prepared to lose him for free next season?
Please don't tell me we should extend his contract because he hasn't merited it.
I like the parallels Arseblog drew with Ferguson. Win the league, buy Roy Keane. Retain the title. Win the league, buy Van Nistelrooy, retain the title. It’s the behaviour of a team that wishes to remain champions. Loving United losing 2-0 to Hull. Tsolis… looks like we have player there! :-)
Hull must be so pleased with themselves, all week there have been headlines about why is Hull even bothering they are so bad they guaranteed relegation, and then this result.
‘Benjamin Šeško chose Manchester United because he viewed the club's rebuilding project as a "dream" opportunity to help restore a global giant to glory.’
We're back to bashing Gyok in every post. It's a solid win, everyone contributed and Gyok might be around or not, doesn't matter. We won and Man Utd lost to make it sweeter - let's go GW2.
Yeah kinda sad that we can’t even enjoy a performance where he didn’t play without it being turned into a stick to beat him with. Havertz played great, why is this is a zero sum game???
At this rate, I'm going to unsub from this blog and focus on many other equally good if not better Arsenal blogs. The stuff is now nauseatingly tedious!
Selling Gyokeres would be addition by subtraction. That seems pretty obvious. I would much prefer his minutes shared between Merino, Ethan, Martinelli. But probably tough not to lose $ doing it.
I'd also like to see Martinelli in a better functioning team like this. I think we'd get 22-23 version but better. The left side has struggled for fluency post Xhaka but that's been a collective issue. Myles, Bruno, Calafiori plus healthy Odegaard and Kai and Bukayo opens everything up.
We have seen everything Martinelli has to offer ..it's not good enough .. we have been one of the best clubs in the world for years now and he has been disappointing especially in the premier League.
Now we're going to lose 40 or 50 million on him pulling a Hector Bellerin.
Woke up to see Hull City had beaten .. Man. U. on set piece dominance. This weekend just keeps getting better.
Carrick saying in an interview they played ok but weren't ready and it's just one game. Ya dude.. it's one game against a team that will most likely get relegated. 75% chance by all accounts. Pedro might be correct. Carrick is trending sauceless.
Odegaard looks back to his old self but he'll need to maintain that for a whole season. Arteta needs to rotate him him for rest once a while but he won't play Eze unless Martin is injured. Odegaard presses a heck of a lot and takes positions all over the field. He will burn out faster than someone like Saka.
A football career can be a savage game but they are highly paid for that inconvenience. There should be nothing stopping Marti from renegotiating his contract. Don't know why some players on downward trajectories don't accept lower wages to offset the threat of being transferred. He could be a third choice striker like Jesus and also provide third choice cover at both flanks. He is a great defensive substitution when we are closing out a game. Very versatile. Terminate Jesus' contract or sell him for a bag of chips and give that role to Marti if he wants it but only at reduced wages. There could have been more minutes for Jesus the last few years if he had been available and more productive. But someone at the club should be forthcoming with him about his future. FFS he can refuse to sign any new contract and run the current one out so why is the club risking antagonizing this situation. If we are unable to find an upgrade we may need to keep him - we may also need to sign him to an extension or risk losing him for free. If he loves Arsenal then he needs to be prepared to sign a contract commensurate with his output. These conversations should have taken place.
Tzolis is exactly what we hired Berta for . Unearthing gems while Spurs pay £85m for Savinho . We now have real threat down both sides . I’d keep Martinelli and upgrade on Gyokeres

And in turn Old red nose took a leaf out of the scousers book. They did it first in the late 70s & 80s.just about every season.

I think Hull fans have to be careful not getting carried away after the win. After all, it was only Manchester United.
I saw what you did there…😉
ManU got exactly what they deserved. Hilarious.
‘Benjamin Šeško chose Manchester United because he viewed the club's rebuilding project as a "dream" opportunity to help restore a global giant to glory.’
It’s really working.
He chose them because we wouldn't pay the extortionate price for him but utd did
He and his agent could’ve said he only wanted Arsenal which would’ve been a much better career move.

United created next to nothing the entire game and its keeper was by far the busier of the two.
Carrick is spinning.
Becoming a super club is uncomfortable but necessary
Remember Mahrez parked on bench for city
Berta was also hired to improve sales. Then when he finds deals, you all cry that Martinelli doesn't love the destination.
Too bad. Time to go.

3rd choice LW? Who is second choice?
The real world doesn't work that way.

Savinho for 85m is such miserable business it would hurt my brain if it wasn’t spurs doing it
Either way Berta deserves credit
Or Berta employing scouts who can unearth gems.
Glory,glory Man Un…..oh ..😂
I hate so sound like Wenger but Öde being back to his old self is the best signing we could've made.
Man utd are utterly horrible and I love it.
It's funny that some of their fans say that they can compete for the title.
