Grotesque! UGLY! Painful! Yet… absolutely beautiful at the same time. Arsenal didn’t romp to three points, but they took the maximum out of the game in the most classic of Arsenal ways… one nil to the Arsenal.
Nothing else really matters. We don’t need to deep dive into whether it should have been 5 goals. There’s no reason to wonder why the players looked nervous at times. In a game we mostly controlled, Arsenal did enough to kill off a Newcastle side that has given us pain in the past.
