Finally Pedro we are on the same page after 6 years! Patterns is all I look at and take emotion out of it.
Arteta isn't the one simple. Is he a brilliant coach yes. Will he go and win major trophies elsewhere after making mistakes with us. I strongly believe so I could be wrong.
Will this season end without a trophy I don't think it will. So stop bed wetting know the reality that Arteta is stubborn and get behind the team
We have all seen this film multiple times and it's best to accept the worst before it happens.
Just like Wenger, Arteta will not change. He will rather do it his way even at the expense of our dreams.
They say that a team reflects the character of it's manager. Arteta's fear to take risks has affected the boys. They can't keep up with the cautious football without making mistakes.
Arteta tells the press of how determined his players are, then the boys act scared once matches begin.
Arteta's ruthlessness is only in punishing players he doesn't fancy. You can't see him do it to win.
I sincerely believe one of the solutions left now is for the management to tell Mikel his faults. They can't afford not to interfere. Arteta will mess up again and claim bad luck and margins. Arsenal FC matters more than Mikel's ego. We can't afford to wait another year to try.
Lastly, Arteta has to give hairdryer treatment to certain players who have consistently messed up. He needs to set them straight now to save our season. Such players will never up their ante until you set fire to their bums.
We can only pray now. These guys lack the mentality of champions. If we lose, it's best to replace Mikel. We just need someone that is ready to utilise all weapons in football instead of stubbornly sticking to a particular way.
Jurgen Klopp was special but Liverpool needed a non-special Slot to win again.
We were in control of our own destiny and fucked it up. No excuses. No need to depend on other teams helping us out or slipping up. City will smash NC this weekend. Will we beat Spurs? I think it will be hard to do. We are not purring confidence right now, and half the team is knackered or carrying some knock. Id like to see Norgaard appear, MLS, other strong players to help spell our broken starters.
I can see why you're taking some flak though, telling fans they can't say we're bottling it and then your next piece is titled: nerves of jelly, haha that's rich mate
Gone to some great lengths to avoid saying we're bottling it, maybe it's triggering, I don't know but either way it doesn't really matter, it's not your fault this is happening, it's just frustrating that it is.
Generally everyone's upset that our dreams are slowly dying again.
You put in some great arguments and sometimes you change people's minds with an optimists positive spin, you've changed mine on occasion, (miserable cunt that I am) people believe in you and what your saying mostly and a lot of us board the hype train and then we're ultimately crushed when it comes off the tracks around this time of the year due to a leaf on the track..
The season is brutal; we can go from four comps, realistically, to none very quickly. So, I hope this can be put down to a blip and we can go on to put in a run, as we did after Christmas a couple of seasons ago starting with a win against the spuds on Sunday, no excuses now.
This is hard to see happening mind you, as like you've stated he won't change his ways or learn.
Come the end of the season if we don't have silverware then I'd say thanks genuinely, for the rebuilding of the club he's done a fantastic job there but I'd happily start over.
Take a new coach with some flair that'll risk it for a biscuit and at least that way if we win no trophies at least we see some good football.
Oh yeah, it's not all on him though, the players need to have a look at themselves too, a good few of them can go as well.
Looking at the Sky sports graphic, City's highest points total (at 32) in last 12 games added to their current points total gives 85 points. This means we need minimum 10 wins from 11 matches to win the league and also not losing at the Etihad. Can Arteta do it, though? I would love to be pleasantly suprised.
As poor as it was last night I am not prepared to write the season off because of our recent stumbles (particularly last night) as many seem to be doing. Last night there were so many people completely out on their feet it made you wonder what the pre-match meal had in it. The refusal to use White is baffling and as Pedro says there does not seem to be any reason why Norgaard couldn't have played last night and rested Zubi. For me (being well able to remember it) this has shades of the '89 season when we stumbled so badly on the run in but of course pulled it out of the fire at Anfield.
As poor as Madueke is, he had 5 PL goals at this stage last season. A hattrick against Wolves included. I've said before I preferred Kudus and Ekitike to him and Gyok.
Do you believe Semenyo is better than Eze? Stats show that has not been true in the last 4 years until this season.
My epiphany happened in the 1st wolves game. I knew then that if Arteta managed to win the league, he should not stay as coach. I had seen the bottle job play out over the last 4 seasons in different circumstances. We may not have a better team than City but we surely have a deeper squad. Those that ignore history are bound to repeat it.
I see the BBC are trying to compare this season with failing in 2007-08.
Starts with a comparison of game 27, again in the W Midlands. A fleeting comment re Eduardo's severe injury after a reckless challenge.
"After an awful injury to Arsenal striker Eduardo and a goal from 10-man Birmingham's James McFadden, an 18-year-old Theo Walcott scored his first goals in the Premier League to leave the leaders 2-1 up heading into injury time.
But a foul by Gael Clichy meant the Gunners conceded a penalty and allowed McFadden to score a 95th-minute equaliser – just a minute later than the one Tom Edozie scored for Wolves on Wednesday.
After drawing a game they had dominated, Arsenal defender William Gallas famously sat down on the pitch in what Match of the Day commentator Jonathan Pearce described as "a state of disbelief"."
I'll let you decide whether they make a fair comparison, or if it is shoddy journalism.
Takes courage to write that Pedro, and we know you would rather be the optimist as it is the healthier way to go.
Could care less about being right, want the League and Champions league and be proven wrong!
People on here saying the experts know better than all us regular folk who are just meddling around in life, with no experience in sport.
The drop of of 1-5% in performance due to the number and intensity of games, gambling on fine margins, conceding off of .005% xG because of a tactical retreat or tactics of absolute control, lack of rotation of high level professionals who can do the job, and a strict adherence to the "system" no matter what is happening in a live game, inevitably leads to AFC breaking records of the wrong kind-"losing" a 2-0 lead to a bottom scrapper who are going down with the title on the line.
The General is in deep, can he and the team recover, not unless Mikey goes to a therapist and has an epiphany that makes him trust himself to complete actions that are ingrained and against his nature. I do not even know if he can recover to rebuild scoring confidence, letting the team play on the front foot and express themselves in a constructive way in the moment.
Can everyone believe that spuds might do us in? I do and the writing has been on the wall for all to see for years.
This team's psyche is not built to withstand brutally tense moments and allow themselves to win things over the long run.
Have a feeling these last 12 games + the quad the fans will see a meltdown of epic proportions.
What grates me the most is how Arteta is so inflexible.
Tactics, man management, etc.
Being inflexible is a poor trait at Leadership level. Not listening to others and surrounding yourself with people who won't hesitate to contradict you is poor.
Arteta needs to start opening up and stop thinking he knows everything because he doesn't.
The worst part of all this is the club won't sack him. He is hitting the financial metric set by Kroenke Sr.
Any club serious would sack him at the end of the season.
Of course, we still have 12 games to go so not all is done and dusted. But it's not looking good.
If he fucks up winning any trophy, patience will be wearing very thin with the fan base.
The first eleven is tired and clogged mentally, trust me if we will drop points against spursy, Chelsea and even brighton if we continue with the same players.
Solution is we need to give a break to those players, they recharge and will be back after like 2 games.
I will go with the same team we played against wigan vs Spurs and Chelsea with just minor tweaks. We should rest Raya, Timber, Gabriel, Hincapie, Zubi, Rice, Tross & Gyok. Bring in Kepa, White, Mosquera, MLS, Eze, Norgaard & Saka in mid, Jesus, Madueke and Marti as a striker.
Finally Pedro we are on the same page after 6 years! Patterns is all I look at and take emotion out of it.

Is it too early to call it and say if we don't win the NLD then we're fried for the league?
I have a bad feeling about that game. Eze embarrassed them. They will be seeking revenge
We were in control of our own destiny and fucked it up. No excuses. No need to depend on other teams helping us out or slipping up. City will smash NC this weekend. Will we beat Spurs? It was a good read as always Pedro.

10/11 i dont think so.

“After you read this you silly goose”🤣🤣🤣🤣The first time I laughed since yesterday!!!!

It’s not the team’s mentality that’s weak, it’s yours. Pull yourself together and show some fucking faith man.
Remember that time when the finest attacking

Lol. Pedro finding a way to blame Gyok.
PS. Who's noticed ALL teams attack us with vigor once he takes off the big Swede? 😂
If it's not there, it's not there; Arteta is not the man, ragardless of how thus season plays out... Including a quad
Thanks for saying what was needed Pedro.
