I don't agree to the saying that 'When we complain about our forwards, we’re actually complaining about back-up players'.

We complaining about lack of a top class #9. A ruthless, dangerous goal poacher who scares defenses at the mere mention of the name. A proven natural goal scorer that guarantees you dozens of league goals every single season.

That's what we are crying for.

Yes we need back up for Saka but that's secondary to what we're begging for.

Unless that striker problem is solved Arsenal can't win anything. The way things are going, Arsenal may struggle for top 4 finish thanks to Arsenal's decision not to buy a Victor (Gyokeres or Osimhen).

Yesterday, watched Galatasaray manhandle Spuds in the EL. Victor Osimhen was very good. Bagged a brace, had another waved off-- and threatened to score another 3-4 times. All this before Spurs went down to 10 men at the hour mark. Almost all of his shots were due to his athleticism and well-timed runs.

Possible, after his sobering loan to a Super Lig club-- that he could be had for far less than just a year ago. Napoli has to be hoping someone comes for him in January. He can offer the true striker necessities we lack at the moment-- likely without the burden of a long-term deal. Might be willing to come to a big club, in order to resuscitate his flagging career, without the guarantee of being a nailed-on starter. Certainly better than some of the bigger-money, PL-ready CFs we might consider. Might be worth pursuing in the current striker market.
