Thought the big problem with Partey was that Ode had to drop deep to receive the ball and that the signing of the Spanish Lokonga would end all that? Hmmm just wanted to remind those who made those shitty narratives that their slander hasn’t been forgotten

Rabona cross from Cherki for Foden to head home. Sensational technique

Gyokeres getting gassed up today just for making a run into the box.

That’s the bar now for an Arsenal striker?

Can’t win a header, can’t hold it up, can’t run in behind, loses every duel, dreadful touch, gets bullied by any half-decent defender, gets outrun by any half-decent defender without them even breaking a sweat. But yeah, bro made one run into the box… WOW

Oh my gawd

A player coming back from hamstring injury is “gassed”

Stop pm the presses, this is breaking news

Yes. But also we need to give Saka more time to recover from his injury.

He’s only been back in the squad since September and featured in 12 of our 15 league games this season. 4 goals from him is woeful, let’s be honest with ourselves.

We can leave rap to rant like a lunatic about Ode and Gyok underperforming, both of whom have been back in the fold for at least 7 whole days. Maybe even longer, I haven’t checked. They should both be fully match fit and scoring and assisting for fun at this point in their recovery.

Its very odd that he is so slow I know he came from a shit league (comparatively) but all is stats were that he was fast player. Sometimes it feels like he is running through mud

The most annoying part is his ball control.

Can Zubi and Ode play together either?

How was Saka back to being triple teamed since Ode was directing almost all attacks to the right?

For a long while, it's been Tross playmaking from the left, allowing Saka to get less heat and more freedom on his flank. Today was the exact opposite and I cannot see past Ode and Eze as the two culprits.

Arteta messed up the lineup. It would have been experimental regardless but I hope he learns his lesson and never starts Zubi, Rice, Ode and Eze in the same lineup ever again. If it was up to me, I wouldn't want to see Zubi, Rice and Ode starting together again but he's our captain so we're fucked. The negatives and disbalances are not worth the positives.

I do not concur to your argument that they can't play together. The simple truth is that Eze was totally out of his depth today. It's not the composition that complicated the game for us.

Eze was just simply not in the race. His cluster play was as terrible as his personal game. He had virtually no positive impact and he even made terrible passes on occasions.

He surely needs to get up to speed with how we play as a team.

I do understand the point you are trying to make but our right side of attack didn't just become our most potent because Ode focuses on Saka.

It is what it is because Saka had been exceptional.

Trossard is trying to bring versatility to the left too.

It's not that Ode doesn't pass to the left the way you are making it but such simply fizzle out quickly.

The Belgian brought much more prominence in about 30 minutes than Ode did for entirety of the first half.

I know Eze is a very capable player but he's still finding his feet and that's hurting us

Shambolic performance from Eze, that's a main point but while Ode was decent, we shouldn't look past the fact Ode kept going for Saka over and over again as per usual and that was bringing so many opponents on that flank. Eze was in the position Marti and Tross have been consistently in over the past seasons when they were barely touching the ball, completely isolated cause Ode goes so right heavy.

Without Ode, that was vastly different with Tross getting so much possession and in return - Saka, more freedom. Ode is back and things were worse in both aspects.

If AFC just lump it up in the center against 2 cb's and not on either side of the pitch, than Kai is not doing anything either.

Ollie was getting the ball on the sides.

So many reasons tactical and personnel have been attributed for our loss today but the main reason was our lack of clinicalness.

I said it earlier in the game. We need to start taking the chances we create. If we don't we end games like we just did today.

Many shoddy teams won't be when we come to their stadiums so we need to stop being wasteful as we've been recently

Anyway, it's good to see so many of those who have stayed away because we were winning back from hibernation.

Jacob,

Ode had to drop deep as Zubi and Rice are gassed and can't cover the ground required at this point.

Poor loss. With all the injuries, and against a side in great form away from home, take the draw and move on.

Why do you have to remove Eze from the midfield when he is doing so well just to accommodate the returning Odegard, we have been here before why do we need to make the same mistakes again.

Are you really sure he's done well since the NLD? Ode was far the superior player today. I just wish he'd be told to release the ball quicker and shoot!

Eze has done well. Before and after. Odegaard your capital capitulate is back. Let's see where he takes you. Rice was playing the best he's played for us and even westham. All of a sudden you shift Eze to the wing. Odegaard has flattered deceive for 5 seasons bar one. You think Trossard suddenly started playing so we for no reason? Eze knows what area to occupy but ode occupies everywhere and nowhere. How many games have we lost since ode got injured. Just wait for havertz to complete the tanking.

Completely agree, wh does odegard walk back in? He slows our play down and makes us far to one dimensional and unbalanced...

ben's avatar

Odegard is just one tricky pony with sideways passing and most of them are at Saka who also he seems to be out of form.

Arteta is back at his favouritism and let that be the dying hill for him as he doesn't seem to learn.

With Dissenter on Norgaard, going to need him and one point better gets some minutes into the belt. Wolves looks ideal but then I kinda want to see a mid of Eze, Ø and Zubi with Rice at the spa.
