Norgaard started 34 of 38 games for Brentford last year, and he is not good enough to play against Brentford? gtfoh

FFS he could have worked the last 10 mins...we were somewhat vulnerable as we lacked height. Brentford had some serious height - Ajer, Collins, Pinnock and Thiagoare ALL from 6'3'' to 6'6"!!! while our tallest guys Saliba, Havertz, Rice, Big Gabby and Mosquera were off the pitch. Their only chances came off throw ins and corners. Norgaard is 6 foot 2 and fresh legged. Odegaard and White were gassed as they played the full 90 and are still not at their match fittest. Zubi and Timber must be tired with no rest the last few weeks.

Good result and very happy to see Arteta making unforced changes for key players in the starting 11

Saka Eze Timber all dropped was the right decision. Shame Timber had to come on early

No coincidence that Ben White and Madueke looked better early, then they became less effective as they tired.

But overall they both looked good, Ødegaard was a little rusty when he came on against Chelsea, still slightly not up to his full 90 minute fitness but he gave it all for the team as usual tonight.

Usual inane comment from someone who knows sfa. Madueke can't shoot, cross, pass or take corners. Was tired after his "pre-assist" then tried backheels non-stop. Also can't track back with any efffect. Odegaard spent more time picking the ball up from defenders when we had Zubimendi or Rice to do that.

And Man City looking very likely to drop plenty more points. No way to dress up their results of the past week or so.

Observations....

Rice was jaded from the start. Exhausted at 60 minutes. Norgaard must be the worst player in training to be treated like a leper by Arteta.

Martinelli continuing to prove that he's not a starter. He also has proved he's mainly best as a late sub against tired defenders especially for balls over the top.

But he's not a starter for us.

Eze disappointing for two games in a row, and not full '90s, so he shouldn't be running on fumes.

I haven't read the comments but has anybody stopped to mention the question.... Where would we be without Merino? The guy is one of the craftiest, most efficient and clutch players we've had in a long time.

I love Leandro, and Merino is well outperforming even him.

Goals, assists, and sacrifices his body like a gladiator constantly.

Those guys that were calling him a DM and talking shit about him ...

Pedro can you pull up some of those comments?

Let's all have a nice big laugh at Chelsea.

They shot their load against us. They expended all of their precious essence on thuggery and playacting LOL!

The result it earned them: celebrating two points- dropped at home against us. And another 3 dropped immediately after.

So satisfying.

No choice now. On the weekend we have to play Rice and Zubi again. Would leave them home for Brugge away.

The trademark backing off of VVD has cost them another goal btw 😂

Pool are in a serious top 4 fight. They might not make it with Slot.

We need to take care of Villa and we would have gone to Villa park, Anfield, St James, Stadium of light, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge by the weekend with a 5 point lead.

Love it they always Rice Liverpool the courtesy extra minute after the extra time has finished. Honestly if they hadn’t gotten ridiculous extra time last season they wouldn’t have won the league. Fucking hate that club and their arrogant supporters
