ARSENAL, PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
MAN CITY COLLAPSE TO BOURNEMOUTH, SENDING PREMIER LEAUE TO NORTH LONDON!
Arsenal, Premier League Champions, 2025-26 season… can you believe it?
The boys actually did it.
The team accused of lacking character, for being too rough, for having a manager that waved his arms too much, for being bottlejobs.
They are Champions of England for the first time in 22 years.
Man City were outclassed by a brilliant Bournemouth. The game finished 1-1, but really, City were very lucky to get a late draw.
That made Arsenal champions. Outrageous. Unbelievable. I am NUMB in the best of ways.
I’ve said countless times over the past month, certain people do deserve things in life, and Arsenal fans deserve this trophy more than any other fan base in football.
We haven’t had crazy cash injections, we’ve never had owners that push up against the rules, or get charged for allegedly going beyond them. Arsenal did things the good old fashioned way.
We collapsed under a king of a leader. Installed a fluffer interim manager who made us worse. Then, when we ran out of ideas, we went for the boldest of them all and hired a coach who was an ex-captain with a hot rep as a coach of the future. This was an insider move. We took the man who was sitting next to Pep G at 36 years old and we gave him the keys to the castle and prayed he could take us to the promised land.
Well, we’re finally there. After 6 years of relentless progress, changes in personnel, shifts in tactical systems… Arteta did what he said he’d do and returned us to the very top of English football. He did it against some of the most financially overpowered teams in the history of football. We have the 5th highest wage bill, Man City, who have the biggest wage bill, spends £121m more a year than Arsenal. Pep Guardiola, the best that there ever has been has spent over £500m in the past 14 months trying to catch up with Arsenal. When things were looking a little uncomfortable for him in January, the club sanctioned £100m in spending and let him put an extra £600k a week on the wage bill… that’s £31m extra, taking their wages to £152m more than Arsenal.
But it didn’t matter. Arsenal have built out a machine. One that put defensive duties first and foremost. Then focused on being extremely controlling of every area of the pitch, totally dominant in the margins, and extremely flexible when it comes to tactics. There’s no way you can play against Arsenal that we can’t counter.
When it came down to the final shootout of the season, after Declan Rice told the world ‘it’s not done’, we were the team that showed up with the goods. We were the team that had the character, the goals, the big saves, and the difference makers.
Arteta had the squad at Colney much later today so they could do their recovery session, then watch the game together. Can you imagine what it was like there watching Man City and Mr Stay Humble capitulate under pressure?
Arsenal are worthy champions. We should be lauded for the innovative way we have clawed our way back to the top. The grit and resilience should be held up as the benchmark. We have set new standards across the board… and we have done things properly.
But we won’t be afforded those sorts of platitudes, because we’re Arsenal. We matter. We don’t need to put Facebook ads behind ticket sales for a title run in game, because we are objectively massive. People hate us and I think the culture has finally accepted the irrational disdain for a proper club is quite pathetic. But those angles won’t have a sharpness now. Arteta is no longer the bridesmaid. He is the guy and our players are now winners.
Every single coach, player, backroom staffer, and person on the corporate team deserves all the joy in the world. What a crazy 6 years they’ve endured. Now they’ve done it. They can go to the club this evening and let looooose knowing it doesn’t matter how much pressure Man City’s PR team put on Glasner, because no one cares, it doesn’t matter now.
As for the fans… look at us.
This has been a tough season. It’s been hard. We haven’t enjoyed it because the media ecosystem went out of its way to spoil it for us by cooking up bullshit reasons to hate on us every week because we drive clicks and comments.
But we just jumped into a new era. All of the spiteful jabs don’t matter now. We are Champions of England. We didn’t need a points deduction to get there. We did it on our own. And we should all be proud. Arsenal fans came together when it mattered. The incredible people who showed up the home games all year put in the extra yards. The folk who lit flares and let of smoke for the coach welcome did their part. Now North London is red and no one, not anyone, can tarnish the beauty of what just happened.
This is a glorious moment. Life isn’t full of too many collletive moments of glory like this. So enjoy it. Over indulge. Don’t let anyone tell you how to be. This is for us. We’ve waited an extraordinary amount of time to get here. Who knows how long you’ll be here. Who knows how long until the next one. Go all in. Have fun. You f*cking deserve this.
Big love. Podcasts will flow over the next few days. I’m on a plane right now so can’t get on one right now! X

Just few hours ago, my brother's wife gave birth to a baby girl and Arsenal won the league shortly after.
I'm the happiest person today.
Big up to Peds and the Long time and short time Grovers... for sticking with it.. This blog has kept me sustained for the last couple of decades. And I'm so so happy right now. Thinking back thru what we endured... and honestly it has melted away. Feels great!
