The bigger question for Arteta this summer is how you build on a title-winning side without losing the balance that got you there. Basically the opposite of what Liverpool did by buying Ekitike, Wirtz and Isak in the same window.
For me, it starts with contract renewals - especially Rice, Timber, Havertz, Odegaard and Raya - and then raising the level of the bench and the finishers around the core.
I’d love to see us bring in someone like Alex Scott from Bournmouth as the long-term Norgaard replacement, sign a high-upside young forward such as Pio Esposito (Inter) or Gonzalo Garcia (Real Madrid) to succeed Gabi Jesus, and then go all-in on an elite, bang bang left winger with the bulk of the transfer budget - the Kvaratskhelia / Dembele / Raphinha calibre profile that genuinely elevates the attack.

Can’t quite remember when I started but it was long before 2015. i know that as I randomly saw you in Wasabi’s and the lift at Regents Park, I didn’t say anything to you as it wasn’t the done thing then. Its gonna be a perfect winters day in Cape Town - about 22degrees,sun and no wind. Big cape town marathon finishes here where I live in Green Point so will be massive vibes like our own bus parade. Will then go soak up the energy and head down to the bar to go watch the lift! Have a great day people!
