Great game, end of....

However, will Mikel learn from the rest bit, and play many of the Hale Enders in the return leg as he should?

Oh, and bring on madrid.

Still salty about them giving that ballon d'Or to Pavel Nedved instead of Henry- cheating c**ts

Totally unexpected result lol

I won’t read anything into it. I don’t expect us to get past either of the Madrid teams. But a refreshing blowout win is always welcome and whilst I don’t know how much, getting to the next stage of the CL = a bit more money. We can also rest our best players in the return leg.

All in a great result

good game, good win. we can fully concentrate on utd and chelsea now to make sure we aren‘t in the top4 race

ref was terrible - ode is a pen, mls is a def second booking and at least 3 obvious corners not given. shocking honestly

Calafiori is a winger- should be playing ahead of MLS in LB until the season is done.

I did say previously we had to think outside the box when Kai was injured. The two candidates I put forward were Merino (started well but jury now out) and Calafiori

Trossard and Martinelli will likely have to step aside for Nwaneri when Saka returns.

I need our owners to give Arteta the attackers we need. All we are missing is x factor. Saka and now Nwaneri the providers. We need more. If we get them, and he fails, he will need to go. But not before we are sure he can't do it when he has been one of the only few managers in history to hit the 89 points mark in the history of the PL.

Dude. He’s the one who wants defenders, midfielders and can’t make up his mind on a keeper. The only attacker he brought in was Sterling … ‘Nough said

What tosh. Arteta picks the signings. He chose merino. He chose Calafiori. He chose Sterling

Hab

They assign money for transfer and he has a big say in what the club buys.

Areta needs help..from his worst instincts

No one is "giving" him attackers- he needs to choose to buy them.

He doesn't want attackers? Meanwhile, targets we haven't signed, Raphinha, Vlahovic, Mudryk that didn't join us. Even Sesko last summer and Watkins this January when we needed X factor. He didn't choose Sterling.

We already had Eddie, Saka, Martinelli, ESR, and Riess in the past few years, which is why you saw less spent in forward areas.

Please stop with this absolute nonsense. Give him attackers...how about he buys them himself. Unless you think Josh or Stan picks the signings.

We needed more last summer than a 70m spent total. He has made mistakes but he isn't the one that missed out on Mudryk, Raphinha and Vlahovic.

He had to make do in the past with Riess, Eddie and even injury prone ESR.

If he doesn't buy atleast two forwards next summer, I will give in to your opinion of him not wanting forwards.

Wait? Huh?

“We needed more last summer than a 70m spent total. He has made mistakes but he isn't the one that missed out on Mudryk, Raphinha and Vlahovic. “

Thank God we didn’t buy Mudryk or Vlahovic!

Jeez dude … isn’t the 30-35 mill wasted on Viera that should’ve gone to Kudus been enough of a lesson for ya? This same team spent almost 200 mill for Arteta on two players (Rice and Havertz)

One has been a home run and the other a major question mark … please the ownership has gone above and beyond for Mikel … they are not the ones who let Emi go and kept Leno and have spent almost 70 mill on replacements … they are not the ones beasting players and having hamstrings snap like twigs … they are not the ones playing a scrub like Sterling instead of giving Hale Enders a chance … could go on and on but I also understand that this is his first job and he has done a great job but he ain’t without major flaws
